On Thursday, November 17, 2022, all fourth through eighth grade students participated in the Creative Writing Contest. Students had the opportunity to choose between two writing styles, poetry or short story. In the Elementary division, which consists of grades 4-6, sixth grader Greta Kiltz won second place in the poetry category. In the Jr. High division, which consists of grades 7-8, seventh grader Alyssa Olpindo won third place in the short story category, and seventh grader Emely Salce won third place in the poetry category.

“Our students worked very hard in preparation for the contest, and their hard work has paid off,” said Mr. Tierney, coordinator of the Creative Writing Contest at BCCA. “It’s exciting for our students to see success, and ultimately, place in three out of the four categories,” he continued.
