Bergen County Christian Academy is seeking godly and dedicated Christian teachers to join our ministry. Entire School Positions (K-8)

Music Teacher

The applicant must be a mature, born-again believer who is able to mentor and disciple young people in their walk with the Lord. Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in music or education (with experience working in music). Coursework includes choral music, music theory, and instrumental/ handbell instruction. Reports to the School Administrator. Work has a major public impact on the school image and testimony. The school music program is an important source for the development of musical skill for the church ministries.

Substitute Teacher

Supervise students and implement instruction during the classroom teacher’s absences.

Elementary School Positions (PS-5)

Elementary Teacher

Bergen County Christian Academy is seeking candidates for full-time Elementary Teacher(s) for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is responsible for teaching elementary students using the school-sanctioned learning standards and accompanying curriculum resources. BCCA uses a mix of BJU Press, Abeka Books, and other supplementary textbooks.

The elementary school teaching candidate must demonstrate proficiency in age-appropriate and content-specific pedagogy, standards-based instructional strategies, and interactive learning approaches. The ideal candidate is engaging and collaborative, develops connected relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and is an authentic Christian with a passion for serving God and others. To be considered, applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

Middle School Positions (6-8)

Middle School Teacher

Bergen County Christian Academy is seeking candidates for full-time Middle School Teacher(s) for the 2023-2024 school year.
