As a ministry of the First Baptist Church in Hackensack, our mission follows the church and extends with them. Through the many different ministries we hold, we strives to serve families, the community and friends in the greater New York City region.
The Hackensack Gospel Church is a community of hope for those in Bergen County region. We have been proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ for over 150 years. For nearly 70 years, Cornerstone Day Camp has been providing an exciting, Christ-centered, day camp experience to children between the grades K-10. Campers will go on two trips each week to age-appropriate destinations, one water-day, and two home days.
We have dedicated instructors and counselors who teach campers God’s Word. Spending time with other campers throughout the day will help them learn about sharing, caring, and genuine love for God and others. Music and singing add to the fun! On home days special videos and skits provide entertainment.

Located on the scenic Delaware River, New Life Island is a Christian Camp that provides an exciting and Christ-focused experience. The Island is a special place where campers can have a great time and learn from the Word of God. Many campers make life-changing decisions at camp. That’s why we say, no one leaves the same.
In 1970, our church, partnered with the Garden State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches, purchased Pennington Island from the Philadelphia Presbytery and New Life Island became a reality. Through the years God has done many wonderful things at New Life Island. The most important being the changes brought about in the lives of campers. God has blessed New Life Island with a beautiful and unique location.
