Bergen County Christian Academy recognizes the vital role that technology contributes, as a component of instruction. Just as it is a key component in our everyday lives, from getting the latest news, to the latest schedule of events, students today are experts at using all forms of technological resources. Technology plays an ever-increasing role in our lives as well as those of our children. Today, Internet resources, social media, as well as electronic communications of all forms, have become a de facto staple of everyday activities for our students.
Our department has courses that cover 15 different areas of media/technology in that students can participate in to grow their skills. Elementary students are taught fundamental computer skills. Middle & High School students build off of these skills to cover areas, which include Media Literacy, Video Editing, Graphic Design, Web Design, Social Media, and Online Journalism. With all Media/Technology courses, the goal is for all students to finish with a portfolio of video projects. All students in these courses will utilize our new Technology Lab which houses the 2021 M1 iMac.
